... that while I don't do memes on my blog, I can definitely do them over here! HA!
So here goes ... I got this from the lovely LaraMoon.
1. One movie that made you laugh: I ALWAYS laugh at "Miss Congeniality." It has some great dialogue, from "I'm gliding!" to "I'm in a dress, I have gel in my hair, I haven't slept all night, I'm starved AND I'm armed, don't mess with me!" to my favorite line of all, when the villain comments that Gracie has ruined the dream of thousands of little girls, she replies, "Their dream is to get blown up?"
2. One movie that made you cry: "The Rookie." When he gets called up to the major leagues and calls to tell his son, I always start crying.
3. One movie you loved when you were a child: "Troop Beverly Hills." I seriously have seen it more than 50 times -- keep in mind that I saw it for the first time when I was eight. All I can say is, Beverly Hills, what a thrill. ;-)
4. One movie you’ve seen more than once: Ohhh too many to count. I own a lot of movies. I'll go with "The American President," which is my absolute favorite movie. It's such a beautiful love story, and the dialogue is brilliant.
5. One movie you loved, but were embarrassed to admit it: "Blue Crush." It's such a teeny-ish surfing movie, but every time I see the ocean pounding against the beach in Hawaii, I swoon.
6. One movie you didn't like: Most movies my husband likes. No, really. But I'll pick a specific one here: "Falling Down," with Michael Douglas. Just because you've had a crappy day doesn't mean you leave your car on the freeway and go on a killing spree.
7. One movie that scared you: "Don't Say A Word." Brittany Murphy's singsong, "I'll never tell ..." creeps me out every time. I also was totally creeped out by "American Psycho."
8. One movie that bored you: "The Insider." To this day, I can't remember what it's about. Something to do with the tobacco industry ... I should probably ask Chris, because big surprise, it's a movie he likes.
9. One movie that made you happy: "The Devil Wears Prada." I was thrilled that the movie lived up to the book, which is one of my favorites. I loved the music and I REALLY loved the fashion.
10. One movie that made you miserable: "Juno." It was hilarious, but the plotline just reminded me of my fertility problems.
11. One movie you weren’t brave enough to see: "The Nanny Diaries." I LOVE, love, love the book. I can't count how many times I've read it, and I heard the movie totally destroyed the integrity of the plot. So while I am slightly curious, I don't want to see it and have it taint my impression of the book. (Oh yeah, and I hate Scarlett Johanssen.)
12. One movie character you’ve fallen in love with: Cher Horowitz in "Clueless." While Lois has been my hero on and off since I was 12, I also went through a phase where I wanted to be Cher. I even spoke like her my freshman year of high school, uttering such pithy phrases as "Whatever," (complete with hand gestures) and "I'm audi," and, of course, "hauling ass" to the Gap.
13. The last movie you saw: "Sex and the City." I LOVED it. I was just checking Amazon to see when it comes out on DVD (Sept. 26) so I can rewatch and analyze every last Manolo.
14. The next movie you hope to see: I never have time to go to the movies, so this one will be a broad goal. The "Shopaholic" series I love is being turned into a movie, and I think it's coming out around Valentine's Day. ;-)
