What does inspiration mean to you? What or who inspires you? How do you inspire others?
To me, inspiration means lifting others up, or being lifted up, and making others feel happy. Oprah Winfrey is my biggest inspiration because she does a lot for people, and always puts themself first, instead of herself. She also has her own charity that has raised millions of dollars for children in Africa who are less fortunate than most of us are. I'm a big fan of charities and giving back to the community and children, mostly, around the world who have nothing, or almost nothing. One way I enjoy inspiring others is by raising awareness about big crisis overseas such as the human rights movements, AIDS/HIV, starving children, and child abuse in all parts of the world, especially Africa. I have a huge heart for Africa and since I'm going there within the next few years, I would like to help out and raise a lot of awareness before I go over there. Another way I inspire others is by being a teacher. Not a lot of people realize that teachers actually DO inspire children. They may not see how the child turns out later on in life, but to plant a simple seed in a person's life as a young child is the most important thing a teacher can do. One of my favorite quotes is: A teacher affects eternity. She can never know where her influence stops, and it's so true.
