Feeling Better

I had a good yesterday. After I got off work at 7am, I grabbed some clothes and my golf clubs and headed to my parents' house. I was able to sleep for a few hours and then went and played 18 with my pops. Like usual, I had some good holes and I had some bad holes. But most of all, I was out and doing something. It has only be a week so I don't expect to be completely healed. But it does feel nice to not feel as empty.

My father and I had another good conversation on the way home. We talked about many relationship problems and related issues. I always feel better after a good discussion about that topic. Who knows, my father may have hit the nail right on the head with his interpretation of what happened. That would be nice too, but I can't assume. Bottom line is, I think it was something else as well.

So after golf, I had a nice dinner with my parents. We had the St. Patty's day dinner early. Some things never change when I'm there. I went to wash my hands in the bathroom and noticed some of the ceiling had fallen down on the plastic light cover. My father started freaking out as usual assuming the worst. I told him we would look at it after dinner. Then he goes to get a glass of water from the refrigerator and the feeder doesn't stop when he removes his cup. So now water spills everywhere and again he starts freaking out. Then the blame is put on my mother who installed the new filter and of course they argue for a few minutes. Finally i convince them to eat after the feeder stops flowing water and we enjoyed our dinner.

I was so tired that I ended up sleeping over and boy did I finally sleep well. Despite my bizarre dream I slept for about 10 hours. It was some much needed sleep after the lack of sleep I've been getting during my work week.

Only 2 more weeks till my sister comes home for spring break. It's amazing how much I look forward to seeing her these days. We used to hate each other's guts and now we're more like best friends. You never know how life will change as time goes by. All I can do is just strap myself in and ride the ride!
