Mandatory (not really) post convention post

So I went to Arisia this past weekend, which was a lot of fun. I went to several panels with a wide variety of topics including costumes in Firefly, story vs. gag in web-comics, a space elevator proposal, and predictions for the future. I don't think I showed up to a single one on-time though, because I kept running into people I knew in the halls. I did get to see a lot of people I knew between the wpi students, the wpi alumni, a few folks I knew way back in high school, and a few folks that I see only at conventions. I got into more conversations with people I hadn't previously known that I have in the past, which was cool. As usual, I listened to a lot of filk music and wished I had something I could sing. Unusually, I purchased artwork, and actually a rather large amount of it. Now I just need to get it framed and put up and my walls will be me less blank white. Also, played some games, got some buttons and a rather nifty pair of fox ears for a Millie costume and danced a bit.

In completely unrelated news, I got a T-shirt at work with the company logo on it. Unfortunately, it is a large and I am a medium. This made me think that T-shirt are going the way of fast food serving sizes; there is no small only varying degree of large. Perhaps there is a causal relation there. Anyway, I may be able to switch for a medium shirt tomorrow.
