Room 315, Sunday morning

Aug 24, 2014 08:53

Johnny was trying his best to sleep in, he really was. But getting used to a new place, with a new bed, and a cute little space-girl just a few feet away - assuming she was there, unless she was a crazy person who got up early on a Sunday - and the feeling of something sitting on his chest... Wait, that part was new. Was he dreaming? He opened an eye cautiously to find a squirrel sitting on him, holding a piece of paper.

Broadcast in 20 minutes. Come with us and you might get rum.

"Thanks, but I was really just trying to sleep--" Johnny stopped as another squirrel hopped onto his head. Chitters started as a couple more climbed onto the bed. One was holding a fire extinguisher.

"So you just want me to read stuff on the radio?" Johnny checked.

The first squirrel flipped his paper over.

Yep.

"Okay, fine," Johnny said. "Give me a few minutes to get together, okay? Smokey over there with the extinguisher can guard me if you want.

The squirrels huddled together and started chittering at each other. One raised its head for a moment, looked around, then ducked back into the huddle. The squirrels clapped, broke the huddle, and rushed out the window.

All except for the one who went back to its fire extinguisher, which he pointed directly at Johnny. "Yeah, whatever. I had a world-devouring parasite in me from another dimension. You're not that weird or funny."

[OOC: Establishy for radio. Although it can be open to the roommate or anyone who wants to see a superhero threatened by a squirrel with a fire extinguisher.]
