The forum was fun last night. My space scene painting was well received despite being rushed, messy and the colour levels being all wrong. I think it helped that the green planet in it looked somewhat melon like! I think it is going to become a plot point. Poor, sad fools!
It was interesting to hear Jim and Kieran among others trying to suggest a structure to the meetings - not very sucsessfully. I guess its tough to organize 30 or so people in a small, hot basement! Primarily though I think the forum is about networking and then going off and sorting things out independently. Neil has set up a group Live Journal for the group though so, hopefully, that will increase the interaction we have with each other.
I'm getting over my art 'jitters' after Destroy Bristol. Painting helped. Must do more.
In other news its been a Big, Blue and Invunrable week for me as I have down loaded both The Tick cartoon and live action series's's's! The cartoon downloaded scary fast with the bit rate up to over 400! I have no idea why, but I wish it would happen more. Any way, The Tick rules! If you haven't seen it check out
http://www.youtube.com/ as they have a few episodes of the cartoon up loaded just begging to be watched. For those familiar with the cartoon antics of the Big Blue Wonder you'll be pleased to hear that the live action series keeps all the humour. The cast nail Arthur and The Tick spot on and Ticks bombastic speeches on the nougaty goodness of justice hilarious as ever. I'll try and put it on a disc for those who want - If I can figure out how. At the moment it eludes me like a vicious midget running on feet of evil through the winding streets of goodness. Even though I have the searchlights of justice on full beam. But I will keep trying.
