Here I am working my current temp job- I'm the receptionist for Skyway Airlines. :) Tomorrow's my last day. It's been great to have a full time job for a couple weeks, though. I have power. i get to choose whether or not to let people in the door. i control the phones and all the idiots who call (ha! you want to talk to mary? well you Can't! haha!) and i have a betta fish.
summer's treating me pretty good so far. Except for the fact that matty's Gone and i didn't even get to say goodBye. you bitch. and sara's about to go too.
can i tell you about last night? last night was incredible. first of all, i'm playing on three different teams three different nights of the week and also trying to attend nemesis practices (the chicago women's club team) on saturdays. so last week was my wednesday night team's first game and we got Squashed. only scored 3 points in a game to 15. then, last night, no one showed up. only 4 guys came in addition to me and josie. and you need 7 people to play ultimate.
so there we were. playing 6 on 7. the other team had 4 extra guys but no women subs, and actually asked if they could put 6 men on so their women wouldn't have to play the whole time. pah! when we're playing with 6 people and only having one woman is technically illegal? no way.
the best part is the name of my team, because we're all given arbitrary letters and ours is R. ARRR! so we were the pirates. and we fucking kicked ass. particularly me and josie. we were unstoppable. we didn't win, but we only lost by 2 points, after being down 8-3 at halftime. it was so much fun. i ended up with some other dude's blood all over my arm. got landed on/ knocked down at least 3 times. had several Sweet Ds. oh it was fun.
and chilling out at the palomino afterwards was Great.
so being in milwaukee is, as i expected, just what i needed. i love summer.
