Here is a great story about how a container of rubber ducks fell off of a chinese ship 15 years ago, and the ducks all escaped. Since then they have provided an invaluable tool for scientists studying ocean currents. It's rather amazing that they are reaching the end of their journey, with many having traveled from the Pacific ocean all the way to the Atlantic ocean. Some are washing up on the shores of New England, and the rest are caught in currents that will wash them up in England soon. The company that originally made them is offering rewards to people that find these ducks, because it is important to know where they ended their 15 year cruise.
Also! 7-Elven and Fox are partnering up to promote the Simpson's movie coming out. They are going to some really extravagant and awesome trouble, to the point that 7-Eleven is actually
repainting and renaming their stores Kwik-E-Mart. They even put up new name signs and rename a lot of their products to match the stuff Kwik-E-Mart sells in the simpsons (Slurpees are now called Squishies, etc). This is the kind of advertising I like, and I think I may see the movie to reward them for going to all this trouble.
There is one in Maryland so far.
I have mixed feelings about my game this weekend. I had fun, but I'm not sure if anyone else did. Even Robin mentioned that there was a lot of the "getting up and wandering around" that people seem to do during my games. Now is your opportunity to give me feedback that will help me become a better DM. If it turns out people are getting bored with my campaign, I would rather simply stop DMing than waste peoples' afternoons.
