Corie and I spent some time this afternoon seriously discussing the double standard men and women share relating to sex. I'm referriing to the idea that when women have sex they are diminished, whereas men gain status. It is almost as if there is some metaphysical point system keeping score, which your reputation is derived from.
And then I said, "What if there WAS a point system?" and then all of YOU said, "Uh oes!"
So because men gain points and women lose points, men will start with a score of 0 (no, being inside of your mother does not count, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew) and women will start with an actual score and count down from there. The first hurdle Corie and I overcame was how point gain/loss should progress as you have sex with more partners. Clearly this isn't a linear progression, because as you have sex with more people you gain/lose a greater number of points per act until you reach a plateau where you are considered promiscuous to the max, and additional acts thereafter cost/gain you less and less points because, let's face it, everyone knows you sleep around and it's old news. This phenomena will be hereafter referred to as the Sluthood/Pimphood Plateau Effect.
Armed with a general idea of how points will be awarded, we next had to consider that the threshold will be for sluthood. For the purposes of this "game" the starting value for women and the maximum goal value for men will be the same number, although in reality this probably isn't the case. At first we were looking at a static number, but quickly realized that it would have to be more complex to take into account age and frequency. At this point Corie got some bad news and went walkabout, but I spent a few minute minutes thinking about this. Using rough numbers just to get a working idea of what we're talking about, suppose five different partners in one year is the minimum for what we will consider "slutty". Based on the fact that having sex with multiple partners creates a bell curve effect, both men and women would gain x points to their maximum for each year of their life. So let's say sex begins at age 18 (in theory), men start off at 0 points with a goal of 10, and women start off at 10 points. The first partner each has will subtract one point from women or add one point to men. The second, third and fourth partners would be worth two points each (7 points so far). The fifth partner would be worth three points, and represent achieving the "Sluthood/Pimphood Plateau". At this point an 18 year old male would have achieved the maximum 10 points, and the female would have lost all 10. These numbers are of course just guesses, and the point progression is not entirely accurate either.
So when these two turn 19, the male's maximum will rise by 10 more points and so will the female's, although in her case it will be necessary for her to also gain ten points (otherwise she would be perpetually at 0). So now the male is at 10 out of 20 points, and so is the female. The point progression probably resets back to 1. An interesting idea is that if the person in question has had unusually low activity (0 out of 20 for a 19 year old male), the "old news" effect can come into play if they have more than five partners in one year. After achieving the "Plateau", additional partners will count for less and less. The sixth partner will still count for three points, but the seventh, eighth and nineth will be two each, and the tenth partner will count for one point. Partners beyond ten may count for either zero or one, we don't know yet.
All mechanics aside, it's pretty a pretty ridiculous idea that women lose anything by having sex. If anything they gain experience, which makes the act that much more enjoyable. Although I suppose if a woman had sex with a particularly well-endowed man, that might diminish her appeal to less well-endowed men. I feel sorry for you little guys ;0)
