Today, Ryn and I were in the dorm studying when a flash storm suddenly hit campus. I had a strong urge to run outside and get drenched in the downpour, so I dragged Ryn along with me. She was not unwilling, as Ryn used to play in the rain with her friend Allie. I felt free and careless in the rain, as if some "metaphysical me" were expanding out of my mind and soaring around overhead. and I only wish that the storm had lasted longer, because I haven't felt that way since I last went to the beach a couple years ago.
