[Leisurely walking down the street with a basket filled with yellow and white flowers, Aerith spotted a young blind nearby with a long furry tail.]

...Is that real?

[She was staring at him in mild shock.]

[Barely stops himself from running to her after noticing this is most likely not the Aerith he knows.

He looks disheartened for about two seconds and then perks up when he notices that a GIRL is looking at him.]

This one?

[He wags the tail a little, just to show it off.]

Yup, hundred percent real.

[She only giggled at his joke as she watched that fuzzy tail swing back and forth.]

That's really different but nice. You are the first guy I know who has a tail who doesn't walk on four legs.

[Aerith was mentioning the odd lion dog she met within Shinra HQ.]

Oh, it's really fun. It helps a lot when you are a kid and like climbing trees... Or to pick up stuff from the ground.

[He trailed off and smiled. It would be better not to weird this Aerith out by telling him he knew another Aerith that looked a lot like her.]

I never tried to climb a tree before but I used to pick up pencils and pens by my toes when I was a kid. My mother really hated that!

[Smiling more once the monkey-tailed boy introduced himself, Aerith chose to do the same.]

[Fishing within her basket for a moment, Aerith plucked out a small yellow flower for him.]

It matches your hair and is only one gil!

Mom never said anything when I picked stuff with my tail...

[She did say stuff when he lifted a girl's skirt, but uh, let's not mention that. Zidane smiles a little when he looks at the flower.]

Um... Let me check if I have any leftover money from the last place...

[He checks his pockets for a moment, and manages to find some money. He then smiles, and tilts his head, showing her three gil.]

Can you give me three?

[Looking for two more yellow flowers to add with the one she offered him, Aerith had such a overjoyed smile.]

You are too kind! Usually everyone just buys one flower, especially within the slums.

[Offering the three posies to him, Aerith held out her other hand for the gil.]

Oh boy, time to run, I'll be back later~!!

I keep a big garden back at home. My brother really likes flowers too...

[He hands her the money and then takes the flowers, with a big smile]

[The boy reminded her of a cheerful little monkey but it would be so rude of her to compare him to an animal verbally.]

Yep. Brother has a tail like mine, but it's more like white-ish because that's his hair color.

We all do, at least the purebloods.

[He scratches his head a little.]

I don't think we have a name. At least I never thought of it...

[Smirking a little now since in her opinion, Zidane doesn't look much of a prince. At least not with the tail...]

Not that much... I was the son of the Watcher, but it wasn't like royalty it was more of a spiritual thing.

[Zidane scratches his head]

But the pureblood thing was because some of us were married to humans, so their children didn't have tails like us.
