Just when she had gotten use to one place, it seemed her world had been shifted yet again. Checking her surrounding, nothing looked familiar, but something certainly felt familiar. Though they had only crossed paths once, she remembered that presence of his. Such a beautiful sight Cloud had become. If only the Cloud she had known had followed suit, things might have worked out in her favor from the start.

"You're looking quite well, dearest." She called out from behind him, a small smile stretching across her lips.

That familiar pull at the cells inside, the feeling that could only be Her. There was times he thought that he had imagine ever seeing Her, but one look was all he needed to know it had been real. Mako eyes glowing bright green, he smiled back, the look of the ever adoring son on his face.

"Mother," He bowed his head because She deserved all his love and respect. "As beautiful as always, even when I thought this place was a dream I kept your image in my mind." Something he loved to hold over Sephiroth, even if the man didn't believe him.

If she had a heart it might have been warmed by such devotion. It made her curious if he had managed to subjugate her counterpart's will, the way Sephiroth had subjugated her. Oh Sephiroth doted upon her and shared her desires, but she was well aware of who was Master and who was the Servant. Not that she minded, she'd do anything for the one who shared her will.

Perhaps this Cloud could manage to inspire the same of her. Only time could tell, but one thing remained certain. He intrigued her, and that made him worth her time.

"Such a good son," she said with a smile. "I'm pleased to see you again." She added, walking toward him with an outstretched hand. She just needed to touch him to get a better sense of him.

Her voice had only grown stronger as time past, something that pleased him greatly. Sephiroth loved to remind the blond that he wasn't Jenova's true son and for now he allowed the other to get away with it. He was set on proving himself to his Mother, to make Her see that he was more worthy of her attention than the former General. That bastard thought Her love belonged solely to him, so Cloud worked extra hard for Her attention.

Her words only made him smile more, Her praise was all he truly wanted in the world. Her smile, that outstretched hand, it made him almost wish the Sephiroth from his world was here so he could rub it in his face. "I'm glad, Mother." He placed his hand into Hers, the cells singing so wonderful at the contact. "My only wish is for you to be happy."

And there it was, the moment they made physical contact. The competitiveness and the need to be prove his worth. All there for her glean. Still Cloud in some ways but far more driven by his desires than she could ever remember him being. Instinctively the corner of her lips curled, this lust for power she was feeling off of him was almost intoxicating.

"But is that all you want?" She questioned, raising her other hand to lightly touch his cheek. The Calamity was no fool, she knew very well a wish and a want were not always the same. He could easily wish for her happiness, but want her power too. It was natural to her that anyone sharing her cells would want power and control too. Her very existence was about controlling others and bringing them to their knees.

Want. It was something odd, a freedom he was still getting use to. For far too long his only want had been what ShinRa wanted, their faithful little puppet. But now that he was free from that leash he could think of other things, his real wants in life. The want to be respected, to show those worthless bastards who had mocked him just how powerful he really was. To do what he wanted without worry is ShinRa would approve. The ever growing want to take Sephiroth's place as Mother's favorite son. Her only son.

"I want to kill those who would keep the planet from you, to make them suffer for the pain they have cause you. I want when they see me to feel fear because they'll know who I carry my sword for." He raised his other hand, laying it upon Hers. "I want to stand beside you always, in your glory and power."

She opted to release her hold on his hand as she moved to cup his face instead, stepping closer to rest her forehead against his. It was a move she had not done with any other Cloud that had crossed her path. He was proving to be special, that it made her wonder how her counterpart would ever really chose.

Only one would have her undying devotion when it was all said and done, but in a place such as this. Her loyalties could afford to be somewhat divided. At least until He crossed her path and called her back to Him.

"Dearest, when you return to your world. You must keep strong in your will and resolve. The one who calls me to him, must have the strength to subjugate me. The one who does that, will have all that I have to give at his disposal." She whispered, even as she wondered if admitting that it was she who was the servant were the smart thing to do.

Her touch made every inch of his skin sing out. Mother, dear beautiful powerful Mother was here with him. Not Sephiroth, him! He could almost cry from joy, wanted nothing more than to keep Her by his side forever.

Her words made him look at Her carefully, the little boy listening to his Mother's words because Mother's word were all the wisdom he needed. Cloud nodded, placing his hands on top of Her's. "I will, Mother. I will stay strong for you, now and always."

Truly such delightful devotion he showed her, very reminiscent of her cherished favored. Yes, she could certainly see this Cloud winning her counterpart over. This had been what she had felt when Sephiroth had awoke her. Really it was too bad she couldn't take him back with her. The havoc they could wreck would almost be glorious.

"I know you will." She replied, letting her thumb run across his cheekbone as she looked into his eyes. Those eyes that mirrored her own. They suited him so much better.

"Tell me, dearest. What's the last thing that happened to you before you came to this place?"
