in which i break and enter
i believe in miracles now. it was supernatural.
so the van to take me to the airport comes in 30 min so ill make this quick. this morning lara came by to pick up my stuff. basically the lamp, bed sheets, pillow, etc.
i walk outside with the lamp and the door closes behind me. so now im locked out. lara had cousins in the car so i told her id figure out a way to get in and give the rest of my stuff to someone else.
so yea no one was in the house. either they were asleep or phones were off or they werent there. on the first passthrough around the side of the house the windows were all blocked off by metal grates with locks on them. one of the windows was semi open and on the first floor so i knew i could probably climb up to it if the grate wasnt locked.
so i gave up and just sat on the front porch, hoping for someone to show up. this was 30 min ago so if people didnt show up soon id miss my van and maybe even the flight.
so now i prayed for a miracle. quite literally. i was still calm for some reason. i knew there was time left but in the back of my mind i knew some shit was gonna go down and i was going to be saved.
so i go back around the side. i was in denial, i was hoping something would happen. and something DID happen. the lock on the grate of the semi-open window was now cut. yea i know all of you wont believe me. i probably just glanced at the lock the first time and didnt realize it was cut. BUT it was so obviously cut i dont even know how i missed it the first time. i even pulled at all the grates the first time. so anyways somehow the lock was cut (after i prayed. hence miracle). i dont even know why. lol. i was seriously like wtf just happened.
so yea i pulled the lock off, opened the grate. the window was a little high so i had to do a wannabe parkour running wall jump hehe. and since im jacked now and can do pullups i hoisted my way up and scraped myself through the window. the bottom edge where i was grabbing onto had this annoying window guard thing that really dug into my hands but other than that it was pretty pain free.
so i was saved by the lock gods man. seriously.
