That long, eh?

So I've been a busy hamster.

Been hanging out a little with various people, having dinner, dropping by, going for brunch, and even a club or two. And I'm really glad the DNA bought the pizza place next door! Was going to try to make it to BaGG tonight since I love it when it's at the Cat Club, but my shoulders and lack of sleep are making that possibility go away quickly.

Started swimming classes at DeAnza in addition to having the trainer 2x a week. I really enjoy it and will definitely be taking it more! The nicest part is that the teacher also teaches beginning swimming and is usually bugging them so she doesn't really bother with me. Awesome! She's my favorite teacher for a reason.

Been gathering papers like crazy. Juggling a couple of chainsaws at once and I think one of them is just about to go away. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have that one done. Then I can go on to the big monster chainsaw. Yup, it's cryptic for now, but totally worth it. Yup.

Made adorable labels for my mead, and hopefully will be bottling the second batch any day now.

Getting ready for the ice-cream-off that I have with the BossChick coming up. It seems last year's was popular enough for the masses to ask for another this year. In the end everyone gets to try about 4-5 different flavors of ice cream, so who can say no to that? Last year I made brown sugar with a balsamic vinegar swirl, lime yogurt, chestnut with candied bacon on top, and blue cheese. This year will have most likely pumpkin (did I mention I hate pumpkin?), lemon sorbet, and who knows what else.... Hrm.

Going to have to start on that BMW soon. Replacing the heater core, whee. We figure that if we fix that, the rest of the leaky things can stay that way and we'll just add fluids every so often. It was a 14K repair job. Let's see if we can do it for under ... hrm... $500 (and allowing for leaky status) There are $1000.00 in new tires on that thing, so we want to at least try to get our mileage out of them before we junk the rest of the car. A shame. The body's really nice, the tires are new, the engine.... gah. I suggested we swap it out for a Toyota engine. (Mine just run and run. They can be leaking, dropping parts, barely holding on, but they'll keep running and they won't bitch about it. The BMW, on the other hand, blinks and beeps and bitches when you even just get too close to it. How irritating.) I'm sure BMW owners are rolling over in their graves at the idea, but seriously, this snowflake "I'm a special, whiny bitch of a car" thing is real old.

Ok. Off to maybe get a rub for my aching shoulders. Swimming + lateral ladders on my hands = messed up shit, I tell you!
