my break in a nutshell
hmm, so I haven't really posted on here in quite a while. I've been keeping busy. The break has been alright. I've been working quite a bit. When I'm not working, I'm with Stephanie...that's basically it. Lance has graduated and moved out so I moved into the master bedroom. I moved my entertainment center and recliner in here. I like it, the room is only a foot bigger, but somehow even w/ the entertainment center in here, it still feels like I have more room than I did in the other room..better layout I guess. Eddie moved into my old bedroom, he seems to like it here so that is good. The apt is much cleaner now, at least up until the living room where Justin stays. He'll get it cleaned up pretty soon hopefully.
Within the last couple of weeks, I've had a couple little accidents that hurt but didn't cause serious injury but could have so I'm pretty lucky. First off, some FREAKING IDIOT in our complex thinks it's amusing to put grease on the stairs so people can slip and fall. Well I guess they succeeded because on new years morning on my way to work, I slipped down the bottom half of the stairs. I was pretty pissed off. I couldn't move for a couple minutes and from what I remember I probably yelled out a few obscenities. I was very lucky I didn't hit my head because then it would have been much more serious. My back and hip hurt for a few days and I had a couple bruises, but it wasn't anything too bad. The next thing wasn't very serious at all, but rather humorous. I went ice skating with Stephanie and her friend Amanda. We had a great time, her friend Amanda is really cool. Well anyway, I am by far not the best skater so it took me a little while to get the hang of it. There were just way too many kids on the ice though. Everytime I started doing well, they would get in my way and I couldn't get around them so I ended up running into the wall or something and twisted my knee once. Well finally one got in my way and I didn't wanna hurt them and I ended up falling on my behind and although quite funny I'm sure, it hurt pretty bad. I bruised my tailbone. I ended up having to take off of work that night but it was cool. We went eat at Olive Garden, then tried to go see a movie but they were sold out so we ended up calling it a night and Amanda went home and me and steph came to my apartment to clean up my room since my carpet was finally dry enough after maintenance shampooed it.
I just finished finalizing my schedule for the spring...class schedule is actually pretty easy but after factoring in working in the office, and dominos, I will have a pretty busy life. That's fine though, if I work alot now and through the summer and next fall, then hopefully I can get by working just weekends next spring while I student teach.
Well I guess this is getting on the long side so I'll stop here and TRY to stay updated a little more often. Hope everyone has a nice rest of the break and gets a good start on the Spring 06 semester.
