So how was Kirkwood? It got very windy in the afternoon in Alpine. Snow was perfect though.

Parts of Kirkwood had literally the best snow I've ever skied on (not counting the climb and descent of a peak off carson pass we did on randonee skis the day before - that snow was just epic), but other parts very surprisingly had amazingly bad snow - crusty or broken into huge lumps. We could not figure out why/where/how! It got windy but not very. Beautiful clouds. They shouldn't stop the lifts at 4pm with daylight savings time starting so early now, bastards! The sun just got back out by the time we had to leave.
