beneath my surface
feasting on desire
nuzzled in inhibition

He will grow sick if unfed
strike out if starved
He knows hes being hunted
he knows i want him dead

Growing stronger with every battle
more rooted with the attempt
there will be no victor
this war will not relent

But the demon has no fault
chose not where to begin
true to his power
pure to his nature

I have a demon inside
He is not in control
for neither am I
we walk in stride

Our fight has not end
but our foe is true
we fight not each other
