TWoP's been bought by Bravo.
Eh. I've been posting there for 7 years now (jeez, I didn't realize it's been so long) and this is the first time I've paused and thinking, 'I don't like it.' I guess this is the final nail in TWoP's coffin for me. I'm a big defender of their recaps (People say they're too mean; I like 'em mean, the meaner, the funnier) and forums (people say mods are mean, I say if I had to read everyone's posts I'd be bitchy too, plus better to be harsh and be able to have actual discussions than have a SZ like free for all) but this is too mainstream for me. Although I suppose TWoP's been mainstream for a while. I still like some of the recaps. I hope the recaps affiliated with the buyers don't become too nice and I hope the shows that don't have anything to do with them don't become to mean or disappear all together.
Also though, I just don't like it when I *know* TPTB are looking at what we write so intimately like that. Fannish stuff is goofy sometimes and some parts of it I would rather not have TPTB scrutinizing too closely. (Lord knows that'll never happen with GH.)
