“Just a time traveler.”
Time was paradoxical, in Suzy’s mind. Fascinating and vile, there and not there at all - like the distant supernovas; they existed in her present, but Suzy didn’t exist in theirs. It took away a little bit of their beauty to know that the stars she was looking at were just a projection, time’s way of cheating.

sneak peek for you now!
He wakes up on a shore of somewhere and someplace - north of hell, south of heaven - waves of clouds lapping on the air holes his body's weight creates in the sand. He remembers a scream, a flatline sound and the rush of black cold, a woman weeping; now, his ears only catch the colossal orchestra of bleeps and blips, the sign of a life hanging in the balance (he does not know it is his).
