went to the usc/fresno state game last week with my dad, uncle jon, raffi, and dusevic. fucking awesome game. it was the only game im probaly going to this year, and it sure was a good one. instant classic. reggie bush is beyond rediculous. i was sitting behind the endzone, and had about as good a view as you could get for that redicouls touchdown run where he pretty much stopped on the field. i was literally sitting dumbfounded for a few seconds after that move. it has to be one of the single most rediculous plays ive ever seen. almost as crazy as when we hit a bus full of fresno state fans on the way back to iv. ok, so they arent really comprable, but i couldnt think of a good transition. it wasnt a bad accident, we walked away with a few dents and a broken side mirror on raffis car. but it felt pretty crazy when all of a sudden i see this bus coming right at me through the window. afterwards, we just kinda laughed if off.
been home for thanksgiving. normally, id have dinner with my dads family bc 1)the food is always better; 2)its a larger group of people; 3)theyre the side of the family i take after, so 4) its more interesting; and 5)dinner with my moms family consists of only my mom, step-dad, brother, grandpa, and step-grandma, and my aunt and uncle always do their own thing on thanksgiving. however, my dad and stepmom decided to go out of town, so i had no excuse to avoid dinner with my moms family. its not like theyre bad people, and i do like to see them, its just that its not as fun. not to say i didnt have a good time, it just wasnt my first choice. had way more fun cooking a thanksgiving dinner on tuesday with my friends in isla vista. then again, i cant exactly get drunk/high and have dinner with my family.
only 2 weeks left in the quarter, including finals week. i cant wait for it to be over. really, it ends for me on thursday when my bitch of a research paper is due in polisci. none of my finals will envolve all that much effort as far as studying goes, i believe. then its off for three weeks with nothing to do. whats gonna suck though is that ill be down here with no car. i think it will drive me insane. you cant live out in canyon country and not have a car. it just doesnt work out. especially when only a handful of your friends live on this side of town. well, ill cross that bridge when it comes.
been having a lot of mood swings lately. ill feel absolutely miserable, more miserable then ive felt in a long time, and then after a day or two i feel great for awhile, then right back to the other end. dealing with mood swings is nothing new, but its been really crazy lately. it seems to be slowing down some, and i hope that trend continues. if i dont keep myself busy over break though, it might go right back. hopefully i can do that.
its funny. i was reading wendy's journal and she was saying that shes getting tired of lj, and it might have to do with the fact that everything was going pretty well. that echoed the sentiment ive had about this thing for awhile. as im sure is obvious, i dont really update much anymore. i still read it a lot, its about the only way i know whats going on in most of your lives and i do still care, but i dont write much. and i noticed long ago that the vast majority of what i write is me dealing with my deamons and such. even in this entry theres some of that. and even though there have been long gaps as of late, its mostly bc i dont know howto say things in a way i havent already said them before. there have been plenty of times ive tried to update, if out of nothing than some strange sense of duty, but nothing comes out. very rarely have i felt truly compelled to update. maybe im past broadcasting myself out there. now, i tend to keep things more private i suppose. it was just interesting reading someone who seemed to be going through a similar thought process, at least to some extent.
