Heh, excellent choices. I do have to confess I've never quite managed to finish Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell though I should have another go now I have a paperback copy. The hardback was just too huge and unwieldy, and I could only read a few chapters at a time before my arms started to hurt and I had to put it down.

If you don't cry at any point while reading/listening to The Time Traveller's Wife, you are dead inside. It's just so lovely and sweet and awful and doomed.

I keep banging on about the Gentleman Bastard books to people. The sequel to The Lies of Locke Lamora is also brilliant and I can't wait for the third one.

Sadly, Scott is having a really bad time of it lately.. (I know someone who knows him) so I suspect the third will suffer more delays.. But the first two are excellent.

Lee, if you haven't read The Name of the Wind by Pat Rothfuss you really should.

Bah, that sucks. I saw from his website that his marriage broke up recently which is rotten for him.

I actualy listened to it as an Audiobook....most my reading is this way these days as i drive to work not commute on the train. I ocasionaly read books in my lunch hour for escapism, but haven't for a while.

Cried lots in TT's wife. The end was less than i expected though.....it almost seemed diluted.
