No Sheffield Silliness, But London Loonyness instead !
Sheffield didn't quite happen for loads of reasons. Most the people i hoped to see seemed to be elsewhere and due to leaving it a bit late it just didn't happen, which was generally a good thing as i noticed it was kiss_me_quick's Birthday party in London and was only a slight detour from my route to Vagabonds as well. Bonus. So i went there. 80's themeing helped and a nice bunch of people of which i only vaguely knew a couple. Was fun and cake and much silliness.
At midnight i turned into a goth (is that higher or lower than a pumpkin ?) and headed for Vagabonds. A fun but slightly quiet night there....I don't know if last months birthday celebration and packedness had put people off or that there was so much other stuff going on. Either way you could actually move in the place and talk to people. I bumped into dj_alexander and he mentioned Slimelight.
Initially i offered him a lift as its sat on the A1 and i go right past the road on my way home. Well what with Rob also joining and still feeling quite awake at 2:30am i thought what the heck and wandered along as well....The lay out changes and some of the people change, but it is essentially the same old hole to moan about. It was reasonably well attended and clothing seemed in short supply. I knew a few people. But not many so mainly hung around with the people i went with. I bailed near the end leaving 6:30ish to drive home.
Sunday i slept and watched a few films on the TV as the PJ is out due to a failed Quad. I have a replacement part on order though and should be through this week. Still BIG was fun and childlike. It was an extended cut which while slower paced seemed to work quite well. Then i tried UHF. A pressie from sarah_orange. Which i think i'd actually seen quite a bit of but not all at once. Was fun and silly.
