Another wild hair...
Ok, so I've had the hankering to get a new tattoo for quite a while now... there've been several abortive attempts at designing it, but after several years of trying, I still have no design to start with...
I'm throwing this challenge out to all my LJ friends... if you (or a friend) have any talent with pencil & paper, and want to design a piece of body art that may just end up gracing this (aging) bod, then have at it!
My requirements: I want the Firefighter's Maltese cross to be the central element. I want angel wings coming from behind the cross. The angel wings need to be flames, (like on old hot rods). For a bicep/shoulder piece, I'd like the angel wings to point upward. if the piece is designed for my back the wings could point outward.
Other elements that *could* be included: the # "343" (the number of Firefighters killed on 9/11/01 @ the WTC); a star of life, a lion, an oak leaf, and a clown nose..
I'm hoping to be able to sport my new ink at the Firefighter's Memorial in Roscommon in September, so don't let me wait another 3 or 4 years!
