It had been three years since Charlie’s cancelled wedding to Amita. Two years since Marshall took a job at CalSci, one since Billy decided that Fugitive Recovery wasn’t good for him anymore and joined Don’s team and just one month since Oswald Kittner had accepted to be Marshall’s TA. They were all in Charlie’s garden, talking. Larry, Colby and David were also there.
“I’m just saying...”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about Chuck!”
“How dare you, Donnie? I’m... ” Billy whispered to Marshall.
“Keep your head down.”
“I’ll do that,” answered the mathematician, quietly.
“Marshall!”
“Billy!”
“Crap!”
“Fuck!” They looked at each others, the same look in their eyes, like they were waiting for the Guillotine and asked their boyfriends,
“Yes, dear?”
“We can’t decide by using logic so we’ll use something which has made this proof.”
“A battle!” They explained the rules and soon, the teams were made and ready: geeks versus the feds. Billy looked at Marshall and said:
“Two words.” With a grin, Marshall answered.
“En garde!”
