Dear Mother,
You will be pleased to know that I am succeeding in making money for your sister, my aunt, the Marchioness. It should please her, and in turn she will be pleased with us, so I know you will be pleased even if only on your own behalf as a result.
I have made a tentative trade deal with the Kitezh; unenchanted mirrors in exchange for gold. I hope to finalize this soon.
I have made a tentative trade deal with the Pathi's Sibyl, whom I will need to go see again soon. I believe I have found what she has sought.
I have made another tentative trade deal with Baron Bayle. We will be discussing it at length, as he has invited me to dine with him in a not purely business context. He has made sure that I am aware that he is unwed, but he is also a little bit skittish about meeting my mother. I will keep you informed as to my prospects there.
I have been engaged in some lessons in local flora and fauna with a Weir lord as well; Lord Kazimir Icemane. You're fully aware I have no interest in or intention in getting married, but I may as well throw as many eligible bachelors' names at you as I can until you get bored and find some other hobby to pursue.
Prince Dylan and I will be giving a salon soon; I believe I mentioned it. We've now settled on a date. I know you do not care for him, but he has been very kind and interesting and enjoyable company useful. Lord Mostyn and Lady Heulwen have been helpful and pleasant useful as well as potential friends pawns.
I know that you prefer to hear only what you want to good news, and I am pleased to say that thus far, there is no truly bad news. I will write again soon.
With much disgust
I hate you more than poison
I hope you fall on a shark and get eaten
Your obedient daughter,
Ula
