i had a nice out of town weekend. well for most of it. friday night me and sanju went to an art opening for this artist named dan ness, who is really incredible. afterwards, we had dinner and watched a pretty interesting documentary about north korea and the mass games.
saturday we headed out to yelm, washington to go to a wedding. there's really nothing in yelm but we got a room in the single hotel there and had a really nice dinner at the one 'fine dining' restaurant. we lounged around sunday at the hotel and then went to the wedding. it was really beautiful. the couple didn't feel tied to any kind of tradition and it was an incredibly personal and sweet ceremony. very short but everything was meaningful. i was even getting teary and i don't know them that well (the groom is a friend of sanju's). we had some good food and wine and then headed home.
i haven't slept well in 3 or 4 nights and i feel a little crazy.
tomorrow i'm going to see queen, or the newly re-vamped queen with paul rodgers. i really don't like bad company (which he used to sing for) but luckily these were free tickets for box seats so it should be fun either way.
