The first impression when I arrived to UK was "Gosh, I can hardly understand half of what they're speaking!" And I really didn't understand a word from a pilot speech at my easyjet flight from London to Glasgow! Now it's getting better, I do understand people and really flattered every time they tell me "your English is perfect". Let's believe them:)

Now I live with a very nice Scottish family in Dundee, that is in the middle of Scotland, 1 hour drive from Edinburgh, David is a priest in the main chirch of the city, and Maureen is a school teacher. They live with Maureen's mom, Gella, who is really active for her 80-s, she took a trip on transiberian railway road for 17 days last year and keeps travelling to many interesting places every year.
The life here is veeeeeeeery calm. I sleep and eat the whole day round! Scots are very positive! They talk a lot about absolutely stuff things like what animals they've seen during the day, what they had on breakfast, dinner, etc, whom they meet. But the thing is that they describe it like: "Oh, what a lovely day! What a beautiful grass, Such a nice weather! and so on... At first you think they are crazy to talk so much about such bullshit, but then you get atuned and start enjoying it. And they seem not to worry about anything, why? There is no reason:) That's why scots are the most long-living nation in the World:)

We managed to watch almost all the country. At the 1st day we went to Dundee and enjoyed city holiday. They had kind of youth day and there were many bands playing around, people were dancing, men in the kilts were playing back-pipes, really lovely! And we met soooo many russians, argh! That is really unusual for this small town!

Yesterday we went to the South of the country, first to the city called St Andrews, where one of the oldest universities of UK is located (prince William was graduated there last year). It's really fantastic and monumental place! Then we went to some sailors villages where we had typical english fish-and-chips supper (takaya zhirnaya eda, skazhu ya vam, ee chashe, chem raz v god est' voobsche ne rekomenduyu!)

Today we had a trip to the North part of Scotland to the place called Pitlochry, the village with nice countryside views. On our way there were so many animals like blackface ships, goats, cows and even deers. And we had lunch at a very posch Hilton hotel with a view on a river Tay, But the most amazing thing was waterfall in the place called Forest Hermitage, 'cause we saw so many salmon fish jumping up in the river!!!

Tomorrow we're going to Edinburgh and the day after tomorrow we live Scotland for London.
