yay
I have returned! Upnorth was really hot, since my dad is going up tomorrow to put in the air conditioners. I drove my grandma to the doctors early morning yesterday, so today I slept in like it was my job. I don;t really like sleeping in late because I feel like a lazy asshole. But its not like I would be doing anything productive since I work at 4. Joy.
It was a nice little get-away. Now I have to go to work. It also sucks that they are the busiest shifts of the week. My job is not hard. Not in the least bit. But its annoying to deal with assholes all night.
Perhaps I will lay out in the sun. But that means I will be half naked and I've been having issues lately.
Perhaps I will sit on my ass and watch tv for awhile. Yeah, that sounds fun.
I actually started reading the french literature that my prof gave me. And the shocking part is, I didn't have to look words up. I understand it! Whoo hoo! Don't get me wrong, it takes me forever to stop and think to myself, "I know this freaking word what is it?" Then I take its context and want to just hit myself over the head. Duh! It means to weigh or some shit. Crazy. Life without my huge ass dictionary is liberating.
France is looming closer and closer these days. Just a couple of weeks away. I got my french family information from my prof the other day. I'm living with a lady in her 50s in her apartment. She is a nurse and lives 15 minutes by foot from the school. Even better news is that Meghan is living in the same apartment complex as I am. Only, in her information, it says the school is 10 min, and mine says 15 min. Odd. I'm sure it will all be clear once we are there.
Time to channel surf.
