I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here.

Part 1, I insist. I left the camera with him, sayang.

It was a fifteen-hour drive to Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte. I realize that it isn't such a long drive when you're with someone you're happy and so at ease with. We saw the first 'traces' of paradise when we got to a mountain top and saw massive white windmills aligned by the seashore.

We drove as fast as we could to get to Saud Beach, where swimming was supposed to be spectacular. It was.

Our tourguide the following day was a fifteen-year old boy named Marvin. *Bleep* calls him Marvin Gaye, because that's what he was. Hmm.

Anyway, he brought us to the beach where the windmills were.

Marvin also brought us to Kaibigan Falls where we had to trek for around 20 minutes under the harsh summer sun. The camera ran out of battery when we go there, but I managed just to get this one:

The walk was worth it. The water was real cold, the refreshing kind of coolness anyway. It was beautiful.

Then he toured us to more beaches. (It doesn't stop!)

This is the one by the highway.

Still the highway. Man, if we had highways like this, being stuck in traffic would be a delight.

SO ANYWAY. This is where the story finally begins. The road towards paradise. But I can't show it yet. Not because I love a good thrill but because I left the goddamn camera over at *bleep*'s place. The real thing, I guess, will be shown in my next post. Damn.

Ladies and gentlemen, the road going to Mairaira Beach. This is just the way there, for crying out loud! I'm dying here. Why can't I have the photos now? But this...this is like Hawaii, in the northern part of Luzon.

Now, you see, when we got to the real beach, you'd see why we immediately had to go back to where we were checked in, so we could check out and transfer to paradise.

Must get camera real soon.

I am positively positively positively more in love now. More than ever. :)
