[Annoyed] If you ask me, it's about damned time they rounded those Japanese bastards on up! It's nothing bad, not compared to what their people are doing unprovoked... They've got to deal with the consequences, and they've proven themselves unworthy of trust!

Trust me, I understand your anger at the situation... but this isn't going to accomplish anything. Regardless of what's happening back home... the people here have no control over it. They're as blameless as you and I are, and lashing out at them is simply going to create ill-will where it is most definitely is not needed.

I just don't get why they're getting so upset! What the government's doing makes perfect sense, considering everything that's happened... Not all of them are innocent, so we've got to be careful.

I imagine many of them are upset because they're American citizens who have never seen Japan, let alone have ties with the government. I agree, there is a certain need for caution, but there are better ways of doing things.

You may not have noticed, but Americans seem to have a certain amount of difficulty differentiating between 'foreigners.' It's not just the Japanese being rounded up. You ought to be careful yourself.

Well, their people started it, so let them deal with it for a change! What do you suggest?

...Tch. After everything else, that would be just my luck...

I suggest not stirring up needless trouble by pointing accusations at people who have done nothing to deserve it. I think we can all agree there's enough hatred flying around at the moment without adding to it ourselves.

You seem inordinately upset. Is there something in specific that's troubling you?

They deserve all my hatred and more.

In specific? Oh, I don't know. The burned down cities, the dead in the streets, the oppression of my people, my missing family, my dead cousins and uncles? Nothing in specific, I guess...

Hating them won't make you feel any better. It's just going to make the situation worse.

As for the rest... it's not much, but I still have a few contacts back home. I can make some inquiries, if you would like. You're not the only one who's lost family in all of this.

I won't forgive them. Not after all they've done...

...I...If you could after Ling Cao, or any of his relatives...I'd find some way to repay you...

By all means, feel free to hate the ones cutting a swath of destruction through our country. I certainly do. They took my sister from me. Hating the people here is, however, both ignorant and pointless.

I'll do what I can. You certainly don't need to repay me in any fashion, it's the least I can do.

I don't hate the ones here--not like the ones invading my home--but I'm not giving them any sympathy, either.

No, really. I'm...I'm in your debt.

Sympathy? No, I would hardly expect that. But there's no need to rile things up when tensions are high enough as is.

Please, don't worry about it.

It's not like I set out to do that, I was just saying, I don't see why they should complain. They haven't got it the worst.

Still, if there's anything you ever need, don't hesitate to ask.
