After a little break, we are back with our show! Horray!!!

Chapter Title: Comic Book Tale
Fandom: Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Word Count: 863
Rating: R (for later chapters)
Author's Notes: Still no beta and yet more dialogue. OMG! That's getting really boring XD
Summary and Warnings: No. Snake just couldn't 'ignore' what happened on the Practicing Room.

Sure, Falcon told him not to think too hard about it, but Snake just couldn’t help but wonder about what he witnessed at that Practicing Room. In one minute, Nana couldn’t aim at an elephant and, suddenly, she was goddamn Revolver Ocelot. He really wanted to understand how that happened, because that still made no sense to him.

He obsessed over that thought for three days straight. Of course, he didn’t mention any of that to Falcon, since he really didn’t want to admit him he was confused by that. In fact, he was even impressed, but he would never tell that to anyone.

And he really thought that he was being able to hide his obsessive thoughts very well, not bringing up the subject and trying not to look puzzled when the Ice Climbers started to show exceptional shooting abilities. But he soon discovered he wasn’t being as subtle as he thought he was.

Sitting on the main room of the mansion, Snake was watching the match between Pikachu and Lucario with little to no interest. He had more things to think about than a stupid battle between Pokémons. He didn’t even know what those things were supposed to be. Otacon did try to explain him what they were, but Snake really didn’t understand. To be honest, he didn’t even pay attention to Otacon’s explanation the way he should.

That whole tournament was bringing more questions than answers and he really didn’t like that. He already had enough questions in his mind from his own life. He didn’t need more.

‘Vacation’ he said… Snake thought, mentally cursing the Colonel, since he was the one that came up with the stupid idea that he should join that whole tournament thing.

When he saw that Falcon was getting closer, he started to ‘erase’ all his doubts, hoping to look as normal as always.

“Bored?” Falcon asked, seeing that Snake was completely uninterested on the fight being played on the screen.

“You can say so,” Snake replied, with a sigh. Who would have thought that a fighting competition could be that dull?

“So,” Falcon said, sitting by Snake’s side. “You are still thinking about that, right?”

“No, I’m not,” Snake promptly answered. He really didn’t see that his confusion was that apparent. He was supposed to know how to hide his emotions and concerns.

“Look, you don’t need to lie,” Falcon said, with his hands on his knees. “If that’s bothering you so much, why don’t you ask me about it?”

“You said there was no explanation for it.”

“And there isn’t. That’s why I told you not to think about it so much,” Falcon said, with a smile. Snake really had to find a logical explanation to everything in the world.

“Where did you learn how to shoot?” Snake asked, .

“Hm? Well, I was part of a police force. The Internova. I left it long ago, but that’s where I learned how to do it.”

“And they taught you how to shoot like that?”

“No, not at all,” Falcon laughed and leant back on his seat. “Their method of teaching was quite normal. They have nothing to do with that.”

“So what does it have to do with that thing that happened back in the Practicing Room?”

“You see, while I was working for the Internova and I started to ‘collect’ enemies, if you know what I mean.”

“I know better then you imagine,” Snake said, with many memories invading his mind. “I guess that the ‘good guys’ can never take a break, hm?”

“True. After three years of service, each and every criminal wanted a piece me. I couldn’t even leave my house.”

“And may I ask you how you survived?” Snake asked, getting pretty interested on that whole backstory Falcon was telling him.

“I had two jobs. One was working for the police force, and the other was being a driver for the F-Zero races. When I noticed that criminals were swarming around me, I decided to save the money from both and build me a sort of hideaway.”

“This sounds like…”

“A comic book? I don’t blame you,” Falcon said, seeing that the two Pokémon were finally back from their battle. “I also think it sounds like this.”

“So, you spent most of your days in that hideaway of yours then?” Snake said, not even noticing that the other battle was over.

“Pretty much. But, while I was there, I trained. A lot. To keep all my abilities sharp and nice.”

“And that’s where the ‘blind shooting’ comes from?”

“Yes. I guess I had too much free time on my hands and began to come up with things to distract me. Hey, you are next.”

Snake finally switched his attention to the large screen on the room and that he was about to fight Ganon. He got up from his seat but, before he could walk away, he said: “Well, thanks for sharing your life with me.”

“How can you tell I didn’t lie to you all this time?”

“If you really did that, I’ll have to live with it I guess,” Snake smirked and turned, heading to the teleporter.
