Departures
I found out that my family's netflix on the wii had Departures on it. To say the least I was THRILLED! I remember when it came out in theaters by me and I couldn't find anyone who'd willingly sit through a foreign movie with me even though I had two free tickets at the time. It was pretty disappointing. I honestly would have just gone by myself if I had access to transportation that far (the movie theatre is downtown - a good half hour car ride with traffic).
Movie review? It was pretty good - one of the better jmovies I've seen in a while. The plot was steady and pretty mature - I was elated to see that there was minimum cheesiness with the exception of the ending. I started watching it and my sister and her boyfriend walked in and watched a bit. The boyfriend had to leave since it was pretty late - but when he came back the next day he asked what the title was because he wanted to watch the rest of it. Yes! I might have converted yet another unwilling victim to the world of foreign movies! >:D
