209.1

Mar 23, 2013 12:10

I started out on this journey 280 pounds and eating whatever the heck I wanted too... when I first started using myfitnesspal at 267 pounds, I was allowed 1670 calories a day. Now with the recent reach of 209.1 pounds, my calories are all of 1370 a day. Now don't get me wrong, 1370 still allows for a lot of food if you are making the right kind of choices. However it also encourages me to be more active. By walking more, heck even doing light cleaning more it provides me with extra calories to make some of those not so great choices -- iced sugar cookies, anyone?

Now this does make me worry, in 58 pounds I have lost 300 calories I can consume. This makes me weary of how many less calories I will be allowed to have at my goal weight of 180, which I must happily say is only 29 pounds away. Seriously, I cannot wait to see the look on my OBGYN's face on May 20th for my annual. Back to calories, doing some basic math (which I suck at so for real, no one take my word on anything unless a $ is in front of it) I lose 5.172413793103448 calories per pound. Which means I would lose 150 more calories by reach my goal weight. Ick, 1220 calories a day. Now if I decide to stay at 190 (or  hell make it to 180 and then decide that 1220 is too little), I only lose 98.27586206896551 calories. Which still only leaves me with 1271.724137931034 calories a day. But it's amazing what fifty calories can do for a girl. What is good though is I do normally burn off 150 to 200 a day just walking around doing my normal thing. This is also an incentive to start using the walking work station at work.

Recently I applied for a job still within in my current company, but I would be back at my original office. I talked to a recruiter but since I have heard no more, regardless I would LOVE to get that job. Not just because a change of scenery would do a girl good but also I would be back in my area with the walking track. Before I left that building a friend and I used to walk every day at break and lunch. I walked three times as much as that office than I do now. I imagine doing that sort of walking would do a lot of things for me now. It would free up some extra calories as well as help me take some of this weight off even faster.

As of late people comment to me that I look like I am slowly wasting a way, one lady at work loves to tell everyone how much weight I have lost and the two ladies I eat lunch with make jokes about how small my butt is getting. Truth be told until about recently I had not noticed the weight being gone other than different clothes fitting. I tell people the problem is I still see myself naked unlike the rest of them and I still want to hide my naked body from Matthew. Matthew is wonderful saying he doesn't care about my weight one way or another, but I wish he would see how much my weight matters to me.

Leaving Chuy's after eating with some coworkers on Thursday, Phyllis asked what I was wearing and commented "aren't those jeans a size 14?" I went oh heck no... the jeans I was wearing that day were a size 20. Now to be fair those jeans were cut extremely small when I bought them so I cant say it is an accurate source of what my size could be right now. I can slip into those pair of twenties, I can wear an 18 in some of my pants and a couple weeks ago just to say I did, I fit into a size 16 from Lane Bryant with wretched muffin top (my one pair of jeans left over from when I reached 198 in 2006). So when Torrid lets me redeem my "Haute Cash" I am going to go up to Florence to find out what size I am and buy some shorts for summer. I have not wore shorts in probably three years. Now I am hoping I am at the very least a size 18, a 16 I would be over thrilled with .. but if I have lost an overall of 71 pounds and still wear a size twenty my eyes may pop out of my head in frustration.

All right let's do it.
