So now at least we're back on track, I'd rather be a little lighter but I will definitely accept this loss. I was worried that Lent would be problematic for me since on Friday I often eat fried fish however with some proper food budgeting so far it has not been of issue. I am hoping to go to my church's fish fry sometime soon as they offer a baked fish option so that cant be as bad as fried.
For Lent I gave up sweet treats, it was amazing how often I was finding a way to work a piece of cake into my diet or an enormous iced sugar cookie. Now don't get me wrong as long as it fits into the calories there is no real problem but we do get into the issue that there is no real substance in a sugar cookie. So I figure giving that up for Lent will be helpful in helping me get out of a bad habit and also it is at least some sort of sacrifice. Especially because a sweet tea sounds delicious.
On myfitnesspal I have it set up to lose 1.5 pounds a week, which hasn't always happened but it is usually close. I figure by sticking to my diet by the time I see my doctor for my annual I will be right around 197. Which will be awesome since when I was 280 he wanted me to lose between 50 and 75 pounds before attempting to have children. So that should be appeasing to him. I also figured up that by sticking to my diet by the time I have been on it for a year I should be around 183. Now that is awesome because I will be three pounds from my goal ... which will be a loss of 85 pounds from start date and 97 pounds from my highest. Now granted I worry about reaching the 180 goal, because we are going to start trying to get pregnant hopefully after my annual.
Work is making me nervous about how we have biometrics, for those who don't know before we get insurance each year we get height checked, weighed, cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure checked. Now with weight they also measure your waist and do that BMI bullshit. I hate the BMI because it does not take into account body structure. Per the BMI I should weigh 159 pounds at the very most. I have no interest in weighing that, my calories are already down to 1400, I cant imagine how low my calories would be at 159 pounds. Oh and my waist MUST be under 35 inches. The last time I got down to 200 pounds my waist was 36 inches, going by ten pounds equals an inch... I might have a 34 inch waist. BUT when are they planning on doing this? August. I hope to be pregnant by August. So my waist may not be what they want, my weight may not be what they want.. hell everything may be out of whack.
Since starting my weight loss journey I have gone down 10.1 points on the BMI scale. My the time I get to my goal I will have taken off 15 pounds.. and guess what? Still in the overweight range. BMI can kiss my ass.
