In which I am cut by a cut-price chocolate bar ...

Feb 14, 2014 12:26

These chocolate bars are kept on the lowest shelf at the supermarket and typically right at the back behind other things. So, to get them out, I had to bring them past my face. In the process, one of them flicked out its sealed plastic end, which had presumably previously been trapped against an adjacent bar, and sliced into my face on the edge of my upper lip.

There was blood. Though not enough to upset the staff (as has previously happened in shops). That was yesterday and it still hurts today. I'm only just recovering from a hand injury sustained while doing absolutely nothing other than running for a bus while wearing gloves - which was apparently enough of a strain on my skin to rip a hole in one knuckle without any further contact with anything else at all.

I am a delicate little flower. Under forensic examination, my home would probably look like some weird crime scene with all the blood splatters everywhere.
