Ella hasn't had her daily nap for well over a week now. I've tried everything to get her to sleep but she fights it. She's nearly 18months now and runs around like a loony, climbs everywhere and must be exhausted but she doesn't seem to sleep enough... Has anyone else experienced this ( Read more... )

I think that sounds ok, Abbie is quite a random eater, somedays she'll be really picky and not want much and others she's into everything. This is what she had yesterday:

Breakfast - Milk (about 6oz) and toast.
Mid morning - Apple, water.
Lunch - French Toast, water and a yoghurt.
Snack - Banana, water.
Dinner - Fish fingers, water.
Bedtime - 9oz milk.

Seems a lot when you write it down actually!

We had same issue with Amy re water but the hv recommended flavoured water... Morrisons do some in 500ml bottled (5 for 1.50) orange, lime and lemon, strawberry, blackcurrant) Amy loves them all and takes plenty.

You need to watch the sugar content in some flavoured waters though, some of them are shocking!

I'll have to have a look for those ones, I used to give Abbie the Asda flavoured water til my friend who is a dentist, told me about all the hidden sugars and scared me off!

we tried the fruit shoot h20's and she wasn't keen. I've tried tescos flavoured water too.. she just isn't interested. So we basically dilute the diluted stuff so it's just a tiny amount of juice... she's a thirsty little girl always asking for juice which is why mum tried her with tea. If she kept drinking milk instead she'd end up putting on too much weight etc...
