So this is one of those "...or is it just me" moments:
i.e. am I going insane, or does
have the potential to end up looking like

This becomes even more worrying when you have a sense of US vs UK politics where* what would be described as "left" in the US is actually not that left by UK standards, so Jed Bartlet's government may not be entirely disconnected from our Tories.
* as I understand and have been told, I would welcome clarification from Americans on this matter.
