Peculiar
So I was watching the Discovery Channel and they were talking about marriages in different countries. It turns out you have to give up some of your cows before you get married in Uganda. And before the bride gets married she is put in a "fattening hut" where she is forced to drink litters upon litters of milk. All she really does is eat and sleep. This also goes on three months after the wedding. This can clearly lead to extreme obesity problems. This is all done in the name of beauty. What's even more sad is that since she is only 17 she has to give up school. In fact, she did not even want to marry this guy and what she really wanted was to graduate from college. To tell you the truth this is mostly how the rest of the world is, without the "fattening hut." And we thought we had progressed. On a side note, this is sort of like the Buddha thing, where if you are fat you are considered wealthy because you can afford all of that food.
