Not a bad week
(but fairly uneventful)

My iPod and headphones were stolen sometime Monday night/Tuesday morning as they lay on my desk in the office (at work). (CW's iPod was stolen too.) That was a bit annoying and involved telling the admin woman at the department, security and, eventually, the police. The police said they would get in touch with me about it but haven't.
It doesn't fuss me too much. The headphones are more annoying than the iPod. I've had to spend the week with a pair that only works in one ear (fascinating), and I've been wasting a lot of time trying (unsuccessfully) to find an Android music app that has decent podcast aspect and that will sync reasonably with my iTunes library.
It interested me how different people reacted to the news. I (and CW too) aren't too bothered. It's one of those things that happens from time to time that's a minor inconvenience. Other people (e.g. BG - postdoc on the next bench from mine) were completely outraged that somebody would do such a thing and that it could happen in our department.

I've had no more (remembered) dreams about girls, but I did have a pretty awesome dream that seemed to incorporate elements of Inception, On the Road and The Rabbit-Proof Fence. It was pretty layered, involved someone trying to kill me, a quite impressive city and a road trip across the country to an airport.
