Everyday Makeup

I've been reading a lot of makeup/fashion blogs recently, and tend to love when bloggers open up up their purse or makeup bag. I love seeing what people carry around, or what they use everyday.

I figured that was something easy I could do - I live for makeup. Since I have way too much makeup for the average individual, I just went with the products I'd use for a single day's look (with a few extras).

(It seems like a lot, yes. And true, while I don't always use all the products - particularly the blush - this is about average for me)

Clockwise from top
Blush : NARS Blush in Orgasm
Eye Pot : Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten
Eyeshadow Palette : Stila The It Girl Palette
Makeup Palette : Stila Travel Girl Palette - Pretty in Paris
Eyeliners : Stila Smudgestick in Koi (Bottom), and Milani Glitter Easyliner in Terra Brown (Top)
Lip Glosses : Stila Lip Glaze Sticks in Peach and Fruit Punch
Mascara : Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black
Brow Powder : Stila Brow Set in Medium
Primer : Tarte Clean Slate Natural Face Primer
Finishing Powder : Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder in Rose Gold
Foundation : Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder in Translucent Light

My Look - I always use a moisturizer, followed with primer all over my face. I then do a light dusting of foundation, using a small amount as a concealer if needed. For my brows, I use the lighter color in the set to fill in my brows, and help give them shape. I then apply the eye pot all over my lids. The eye pot acts as an eyeshadow primer, while also giving a lovely champagne colored shimmer. Then I either apply the eyeshadows (either palette) with the darkest color in the outer corner, the medium color in the middle, and the lightest color in the corner of my eyes. I use the brown eyeliner on the outer 2/3rds of my bottom lash line, and use the gold color on the inner 1/3rd of my bottom lash line. Next I dust a bit of blush on the apples of my cheeks, forehead, the bridge of my nose, and my chin. The finishing powder goes over my whole face. Annnnnd done. It takes 10 - 15 minutes.

If you couldn't tell, I'm a bit of a Stila fanatic. But Tarte, NARS, and MAC are my other current favorites. As for drugstore makeup - well, I'm not the biggest fan (due to most of them doing animal testing). Though I do have a soft spot in my heart for Milani and Physicians Formula (I hate liquid foundation, powder is better).

Most days this is usual for me. Some days I do more (BRONZER!), some days I do less. The only things I never leave the house without are foundation and brow powder. The rest is negotiable.
