Sorry I've been MIA for awhile (except for on
my twitter). There are two large things responsible for it; my weirdly deteriorating health (another story for another time), and my extremely annoying computer and it's issues.
Also, I just haven't had anything good to talk about. I had planned for when I started work, I'd get back into blogging. But it's been one stupid health thing after another. I'm all tired, and nothing gets done. I have around a dozen flister's blog posts I need to comment on, but it's been hard getting anything done. I STILL READ EVERYTHING, even if I don't always comment/reply.
But yeah... Not much to write about, but I figured since I had all these random nail polish pictures on my camera, why not post them!
Don't mind my horrible cuticles. I'm not a professional, nor an actual nail blogger, so I don't feel the need to make my nails absolutely perfect. Which wouldn't happen even if I wanted it anyways.
I loved this one! It's just clear base (off-brand) with the orange stamp from konad M55 done in konad red special polish. I added a bunch of white dots using a white nail art pen. Really simple, but super cute.
(My index finger is, indeed, quite shorter than my ring finger)
This was my first attempt at using a konad pattern plate. It's not as easy as it looks. Especially if you have longer nails - you have to stamp twice (my nails aren't super long, and the pattern was still too small for several of them). It's messy, but it still looked impressive! This is O.P.I "Funky Dunkey" (grape purple creme), with the wavy pattern from konad M57 done in my Taiwanese white polish.
This is what is currently on my nails. I could only get the thumb before the camera battery decided to die. Anyway, this is my first attempt at water marbling. It's messy, but it looks SUPER pretty. The pattern on my thumb is my favorite. BTW, water marbling is HARD. And messy. But worth it. I don't want to ever take this polish off. This is China Glaze "Wild Mink" (medium pink creme), Orly "Luxe" (metallic gold), and Taiwanese black polish. I used two coats of "Wild Mink" as my base, and an additional two coats of Seche on top, to smooth it all out.
I tried a holo polish the other day (Milani's "HD"), and loved it. I also put a layer of China Glaze's "Matte Magic" on it, and it looked great even without the holo. A LITTLE obsessed with that polish...
Otherwise I've been watching a lot of "The Venture Bros", which when it came out in 2004, I was OBSESSED with (in particular, Dean. I think I joined a fanclub for him. Seriously. A FAN CLUB). And then it didn't come back the next year, and I was depressed because I thought it was canceled. And then I forgot about it for awhile. UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN I FOUND OUT IT'S STILL AIRING. That show is literally like, the best thing on the air. Ever. It's exactly my type of humor, which makes life more awesome, because now I belong somewhere!
... and there goes my sarcasm again.
But yeah, watch it.
