Big Show Day One: Goods Acquired.

Jan 29, 2010 18:47

SS501 is having a concert too?

So, I went to buy Big Bang goods today. I got there 5 hours before the show. In all honesty, I should have gone earlier. Even five hours before, they were sold out of one of the things I wanted (the facemasks). They were also sold out of the photobook, the diary, and the scheduler (I have the diary and scheduler, I'm buying the photobook elsewhere).

Naturally that means I have to go insanely early tomorrow in order to buy it. Either that or wait until the last day. I prefer not to do that!

So the place was crowded, naturally, with loads and loads of fangirls. I saw the fangirls dressed like animals, like we saw last time. No clue why, but whatev. I also saw one person dressed like GD in the Lollipop video (I think it was a girl, but everyone was calling them "oppa", so who knows).

I was in line for a LONG time, for what I thought were goods, but no. I never actually figured it out. Whatever the line was for, it was looooong. I got there at three, and by the time I left at 4:30, people were still standing in it. I'm pretty sure it was the FILA giveaway booth. What they were giving away, who knows?

G-Market also had a giveaway booth. I got that stuff. The Korea tourism board had a booth too (because they're touting the Big Show as a way to get more tourism.... guess what? It worked. See: me). And Market O gave away food and drink again, which was nice.

All in all, it was a good first day experience! I always have fun, but am intimidated. I mean, it's just awesome to hang out with a bunch of people, and get excited over the same thing. But I don't speak Korean, and kinda stick out what with my blonde hair. Though I did pass by two Korean girls who were kinda staring at me, and heard them say "beautiful", which was nice! Asians randomly tend to like me.

So anyway...

First, the non YG stuff. These were things the Korean tourism board gave away. Two decals, and a hand warmer (unfortunately it didn't have anything BB related on it). They also gave out balloons, but I didn't get one (also not BB-ed, so whatev).

Gmarket gave out this stuff. At first I thought it was food, but then I opened it all, and NO, NOT FOOD. More awesome! The big box thing is a calendar set, the small square box are trial samples from DHC (which is hilarious, since a few years ago, DHC America sent me trial stuff by mail at my home... I think I might still have some of it), the green thing is actually a "functional herb sanitary napkin", which confuses and amuses me, and lastly there's a coupon for... something.

This is the Gmarket calendar set. It's ADORABLE. The calendar is big and cute. There's a post it note set (also adorable), and stamp thing that says something in Korean.

Lastly, Market O brownies! These are reallllly good. I had them last time I was in Korea. For GD's concert, they gave out water crackers. I think they upped their game this time! Course they did hand out candy bars last time, this time no... So whatever. The boxes come wrapped with a Big Show promotion thing. I'm going to get more tomorrow. And Sunday.

And now, the YG stuff! This is the pamphlet! It's BEAUTIFUL. Gold and white, and GORGEOUS! I had to hold the cover down, thus my finger.

Inside cover of the pamphlet. The picture didn't come out well (and I cropped it), but whatever.

GD picture from the pamphlet!

Young Bae picture from the pamphlet! (It came out shitty, but whatevs. I also haven't looked at the pamphlet really well yet. I basically came back here, took pictures, and then wrote this!)

Photo set! Unfortunately both GD's hair and TOP's hair are wonky. Oh well, it's still majorly hot.

The sweatshirt! Okay, I love this thing. The writing is in gold, it's soft and comfy, and it only came in one size, but it fits me (and I am definitely not as small as the average Korean). I'd say it's about a American size Medium.

The back of the sweatshirt. It's kinda hard to tell, but the stars are freaking CRYSTALS! SO. PRETTY. *looooves*

And finally, the cape blanket! I actually don't like it as much as I had hoped. It looks great on the Koreans, but I think I'm a little too tall to pull it off. Regardless, the fabric is much nicer than what I was expecting, and it's soft and warm.

The back of the cape blanket. The logo is FAB.

Lastly, at the concert, as promotion for Dae's single "Cotton Candy", they were offering free cotton candy to the first 5000 people who showed up to the concert. Apparently I was in the first 5000, because I got some. I didn't eat it right away, and it got squished in my bag, but regardless, it was yummy and purple flavored! As you left the area, a guy handed little Dae stickers out to you! I LOVE IT!

I did take pictures of the stickers (each pack has two sheets! I bought two packs), but it came out super super blurry, and I didn't notice until now, so I'll post a picture later.

Anyway, general statements: I LOVE KOREA. I LOVE KOREAN CONCERTS. I LOVE BIG BANG. I LOVE BIG BANG CONCERTS. I'M SO HAPPY I DECIDED TO GO!
