It was just recently announced that a male lead role (this is up in the air, different people are reporting different things) in the upcoming kdrama Cinderella’s Sister will be played by Taecyeon from 2PM. I'm, uh, not sure about this.
I have nothing against musicians acting in dramas, but to put a totally untried actor in a lead role? That can spell disaster (as much as I love them a lot of the J-star-ers should have spent more time learning how to act before they appeared in dramas), or it can turn out great (Min Hyo Rin was a first time actress in Triple, and she was AMAZING).
I can't say I'm totally FOR this, especially with such a high profile drama (what with it being Moon Geun Young's return to dramas). It sure as hell didn't work for Heading to the Ground, and Yunho actually HAD acting experience (not a lot, but hey, it counts!). Learning how to act well takes awhile (*is a classically trained actor who studied for many many years, and knows how damn hard it is*).
Oh well, we'll know shortly if he sucks or is awesome!
(*is getting nostalgic, and goes off to practice her audition monologue that is never used anymore because being an actor is intimidating, and bad on the self esteem*)
