My company recently movie locations, and I've been spending my lunch breaks driving around trying to get a feel for the area (I don't eat lunch). We were in the city before, but now we're in the suburbs. Which pleases me. I appreciate the allure of cities, but I'm a suburbanite at heart and always will be.
Anyway, the other day I discovered that from my workplace I can very easily drive to one of my favorite places in all the world,
Lincoln. Lincoln is a lovely town, low population density (which is near impossible to find in eastern Massachusetts), lots of woods and farms, and rolling hills.
So I drove out there today, and holy shit the place is Goddamn beautiful. TOO beautiful. Also, this happened. I was driving along, when all of a sudden I go "*gasp* OMG A FUCKING CASTLE", because yes, there was a goddamn CASTLE (it was a house shaped like a castle, but still).
I love Massachusetts more than anywhere else in the world. Last weekend I was driving around and got caught up in traffic because a town was holding a revolutionary war reenactment. YUP. BEST PLACE EVER.
