(no subject)
So I make no secret of the fact that I'm a shopaholic. I've scaled back a lot in the last 6 months or so, but I still shop a lot.
Anyway, today I was bored, so I dropped by my favorite Japanese shopping plaza. I was in the grocery/video store (yes, it's a combo. Unfortunately basically none of the videos are subbed), looking at magazines. I saw one, and was like "well, I know about half of the people on the cover. Naturally I must buy it!"... so I did. And now I have this huge ass lovely Japanese magazine. But I AM glad I got it (despite it being expensive as all hell). Because it has a huge feature on Mei-chan no Shitsuji, and also one on Shun-kun.
So I scanned a few pics from it.

I then went to the Japanese gift shop, and bought some more stuff, including a piece of vintage kimono.
I've been admiring the vintage kimono fabric at this place for ages. I finally took the plunge and bought a piece. I'm highly tactile, I love feeling fabric. I figure I can do something with it. I collect fabric like a miser. This is the pattern I bought, It's simple, but striking. Pretty sure it's cotton.
I love handkerchiefs, but they're so hard to find here. I found this one, and loved it a ton. It's so dainty and lovely. It's hard to tell, but it's embroidered with gold in a couple of the cherry blossoms (or plum blossoms... don't they look very similar?)
First thing I saw when entering the shop. I knew I had to have it immediately. And not just because of the owl toothpick holders from Wish to See You Again. I actually have an extremely similar owl teaset. It's the same design, and made by the same company. The only downside is that my set is grey, and the toothpick holder owl is brown. (I have the salt and pepper shakers too, and my mom has the white owl teaset, I got it for her for Mother's day last year). I love the owl set, so once I saw it I had to have it. There's a sugar bowl and a creamer too, which suddenly I need more than anything...
So yes. Things. Meh! Suddenly ridiculously tired, and must sleep ASAP.
