Meredith's recipe for mealtime happiness!!
1. A giant chunk of tofu/soy (in any form really, as long as there's a giant chunk of tofu or soy, I'm satisfied)
2. More broccoli than most people have seen in their lifetime (seriously, I eat broccoli more than anything)
3. Noodles or rice (heavily generic; any form of Asian noodle will do, though I do have a slight preference for Chinese style, and as long as it's short grain rice, I'm good)
4. A very large bottle of teriyaki sauce (for someone who doesn't like soy sauce all that much, I REALLY love teriyaki)
5. Lots and lots of white sesame seeds (mmmmmm sesame... I love sesame. But sesame bubble tea? A little too sesame-ey)
Mix together while hot, and serve with your favorite Japanese rice bowl with a cat on it, and your favorite rabbit bamboo chopsticks!
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Jackson Pollock (thanks for reminding me, Google)! He's one of the painters I admire most. A lot of people think he just dribbled paint, but a lot went into it. Modern and abstract art speaks to me in a way classical art never will (exception being the Pre-Raphaelites).
It's name is Gothic, and since I first saw it (a random tiny picture somewhere) I've been in love with it. It's not one of his most famous, so it's basically impossible to find prints of it. I haven't seen it in real life yet, but I keep trying to get down to New York city to see it sometime.
Also I am so totally random bizarre sometimes; I was listening to Arashi on my ipod driving home, and suddenly, out of the blue, started laughing hysterically and said "He falls in holes!.... MAYDAY!" It's not as totally random as it sounds, but most people wouldn't get the reference. So yeah, I just come off looking like a nut. Yay me!
I'm going to post two large entries in a bit. They're my liveblogs from episodes 7 and 8 of BBF. I just have to do some picture coding. Fun.
BTW, I'm still catching up with flist stuff. I hope to have everything done by next week, but I've been so tired with work it's been hard. So again, don't feel offended if I don't respond to things. I'll get to it eventually. Probably.
