Corner with Love: First Impressions
I LOVED when Xin Lei and Qin Lang were speaking Japanese and French! And I totally understood (most of) the japanese, and part of the french! So cute! I love it when they speak different languages in dramas!
And I totally nearly died when Qin Lang was dressed up as a maid. A very MANLY maid. Alan does not make a very good woman. I totally had flashbacks to hana kimi... thus the iconage! And OMG he's running around in a fairly short skirt!!
So cute! Even though it took me like, a week to finish the first episode, I liked it so much!
Currently on episode 2, and STILL loving Barbie's wardrobe! It's so pretty, with the floaty skirts, and the soft colors!!
Hehehe! I love how in dramas, they always say "我...." holding the 'o' for a long time! For some reason that strikes me as really cute!
Okay, so right now, I'm loving Xin Lei and Qin Lang's friendship. BUT I am kinda shipping Xin Lei and Shang Dong, because OMG the whole buisness is so sad! Shang Dong is such a nice guy, but understandably, he doesn't want to alienate his parents (this IS China, filial piety is HUGE), or cause them to go bankrupt. And it's sad, because Shang Dong loves Xin Lei so much! I'm sure that when they go off to Taiwan, and Shang Dong isn't there, I'll feel more shippy towards Xin Lei and Qin Lang.

I love how when Xin Lei comes to Taiwan for the first time, she's like "wow!! that building is so big" at the 101! The Taiwanese are awful proud of that building! (Which they certainly have a right to be! It's gorgeous, and quite the engineering feat!)

In conclusion, I freaking ADORE this drama! I love Barbie's character, she's like a perfect mix between Shan Cai (Meteor Garden) and Qi Luo (Mars). And Alan is sooo cute! I haven't seen him in anything else (Though I know I'll be watching Hi! Working Girl soon, due to my new found adoration of Jolin Tsai), but I really like his character in this! So yeah. Dramas Rock!
