First Impressions: Ying Ye 3+1, episodes 2 and 3
Episode 2
- I love how cute Xia Tian and Ah Jiang are! They fight with each other all the time, but are total best friends, and they totally love each other.
- I love this scene; Ah Jiang makes Xia Tian really mad, and she storms off, crying. Fang Wei starts to go after her, but Ah Jiang beats him to it. Xia Tian is sitting outside in the rain, crying. Ah Jiang is there, but doesn't go up to her, instead he follows her home to make sure she is safe!! Later he texts her, and while waiting for her return text, he's all anxious, and cute. And when she DOES text him back, he gets super excited, and happy. SO CUTE! It's soooooo obvious he loves her!
- Senator/Congressman Kong (sometimes they sub it as Congressman, sometimes as Senator...) is not cool! AT ALL. I still like him though, because he's Ah Cai! (from ISWAK..)
- Aw! Xia Tian bit Ah Jiang!! So cute!
- OMG Fang Wie is so adorable! He reminds me of Rui in HYD, where he, like, asks for permission to date Tsukushi! And Ah Jiang is all jealous! So cute!
Episode 3
- Woah THAT was unrealistic. Who stays around when someone SHOOTS AT YOU?!
- AW! Ah Jiang almost kissed Xia Tian!! In front of the whole class, no less!
- Ah! The subtitles just randomly switched to the top... and back to the bottom again!
- Fang Wei is so adorably jealous!
- I love how Xia Tian is like, clinging to Ah Jiang when she's scared! So adorable!
- Xia Tian is totally rocking the gym pants under the skirt look, ala Chae-kyung from Goong.
- Hehehe! Bulu learned how to compared footprints from CSI! I LOVE american references in asian tv!!
- They all forgot Xia Tian's birthday (except for Fang Wei, because he's AWESOME... and tall)!! What douches!
- I seriously don't get why asian dramas INSIST on calling absolutely adorable, pretty girls ugly and plain! I mean, Qiao En is really really pretty! Maybe it's because the western standard of beauty is different than the eastern one... who knows.
- Poor Fang Wei is lonely! That always seems to happen. Like, the other guy in a love triangle is always alone in the world. Case in point: Huo Yan in Why Why Love, Zi Cong in Bull Fighting, Zi Qian in Prince turns to Frog.... etc. It makes me feel all sympathetic to them... *sigh*
- .... Xia Tian just totally ate some leaves...
- Fang Wei is kinda weird, with his one michael jackson-esque glove going on... I still love him though! But OMG he drives a motorcycle!! So freaking hot! Yes, I know EVERYONE drives motocycles/scooters in taipei, but whatever. It's still hot.
- The Ying Ye boys are so freaking cute!
- I thought Huang Zhi Wei was half white, but I guess he's not. Weird....
- the taiwanese come up with the BEST situations for accidental kissing!
- Wow... is Ming Dao so freaking HOT in this. SO HOT. I mean, I REALLY liked him in PTtF (hot guys in suits... yeah), but I think he's hotter in this!
- This is actually the first time I heard the ending song. It's really good! Qiao En and Ming Dao's voices blend very nicely together! Since both of them are in groups, I've never really heard them sing alone before. Both have such nice voices!
I'm still REALLY digging Ying Ye 3+1 (did I just date myself? Does anyone say they dig stuff anymore? It was big in the 90's, I swear!). It's so utterly adorable. Xia Tian and Ah Jiang's relationship is so cute! It's very like Tian Yu and Jun Hao's relationship in PTtF... except without a lot of the saddness and angst. And Jun Hao was more of a dick than Ah Jiang is.
And Ying Ye 3 Jia 1 is set in high school, which is kinda bizarre. Twdramas are NEVER set in high school (from my experience)! ISWAK was, kinda... well it was for a short time. Then they went to college... And Goku Dou High School is obviously set in high school... but that's not a romance. Speaking of, I totally want to watch that drama! It's sci-fi!! Plus, Chuan Yi is in it, and we all know how much I love him.
