First Impressions: Ying Ye 3 Jia 1, episode 1
- This is the second time Qiao En has had a character name with "天" in it. I pick up on stuff like that...
- Hehehe! I'm really amused when they make puns based on the character's names! Like one of the characters just was like, "hey, it's Xia Tian", and another was like, "yes, it's hot, because it's summer!"... because Xia Tian (夏天) means summer... get it?
- Hey! I didn't know Viter Fan was in this! Awesomeness!
- Huang Zhi Wei is in it too! Jeez! Did I know this before I started watching it, and just, like, forgot?!
- And Liu Zhe Ying was in Marry Me with Mike! And apparently she was in a new drama (Rolling Love) with Jiro. I somehow missed Rolling Love, like I've never heard of it! And Tang Yu Zhe is in it (Rolling Love) too! He was super adorable in They Kiss Again!
- Awww! Jason Hsu reminds me a LOT of Jerry Yan!
- 5566 did some of the OST! As popular as they are, I've actually never heard any of 5566's music.
- Hey! I thought I recognized Zhang Li Ren! He's in Bull Fighting!

- Aw! What a great entrance for the friend-group! And Squee! Ming Dao!!
- Hmm... that was random. At the beginning of the openeing credits, they have a random chemical formula. and not even an interesting on either... 2H2 + O2 = 2H2O... water.
- Ohh! The opening song, 終極陷阱 YES SIR, by 5566 is good! It's appropriate for the theme of the drama (sometimes opening songs work (臭男人 for Devil Beside You), sometimes they don't (幸福合作社 for They Kiss Again)).
- I can already tell I'm going to like Ying Ye 3 Jia 1. It seems to be combining a lot of different genres (romance, action, mystery, friendship, etc), which I like. It's a nice break from the traditional romances I watch. Plus, I ADORE Qiao En a ton! And there's NOTHING to complain about with Ming Dao. Also, the cute martial arts they're displaying reminds me a good deal of Love at First Fight. It's very exaggerated, and slightly stylized. Not anything like Crouching Tiger, but more than we'd see in American tv.
- Jeeeeeeeez Zhi Wei is soooo tall! 193cm!!!
- AHHH!!! Tang Tsung Sheng!!!!!!!!!! He was Ah Cai in ISWAK/TKA!!!
- Oh No! Pictures taken at an unfortunate time!! Who makes water guns that look like real guns anyways?!
- Wow! They all have such nice apartments!!
- Qiao En and Ming Dao have such great chemistry! No wonder they're like, the #1 love team in Taiwan! They need to make more dramas together!
- I also really love how Qiao En has her hair in this series so far!
- Aw! I love how jealous Xia Tian is of Xiao Han, and how jealous Ah Jiang is of Fang Wei! So cute!
- Hehehe! Another bikini bet! Poor Qiao En! She's always in bets where if she loses she has to wear a bikini!
- Hehehe!!! The subs tranlated what I can only assume is something akin to "speedo" in chinese to "T-shaped trousers"...
- I don't know what A Lu Ba or A Lu Ka is... some sort of game, but what kind, I have no clue.
- I also recognize the PE teacher from somewhere, though I don't know where... Oh! Why Why Love! He plays Jia Di's uncle!
