The first week at work went ok, though slower than I expected. Since I'm new and don't know the systems that well I can't really expect them to have me setting up a dozen servers my first week I guess, though I did do 4, 1 by myself. The environment there is very relaxed. An example would be one of the VPs walks around in shorts, Hawaiian shirts and sandals on a nice day. Also, during some down time my boss was checking on his World of War Craft game while trying to see if one of the other guys in the office was playing from home when telecommuting.
I have Monday off, as do many people, so that's nice, though I'm not paid for it, so that's bad. But, oh well. I guess I can get some more rest. I sure did get used to waking up very late during my two months of unemployment. This waking up at 5:45 stuff sure isn't fun. It would be nice if I lived where Andy is moving to. That would be a 20 minute walk to work for me. That and the fact that Seattle is a far more interesting place than south Tacoma. That is unless you prefer to live inside an episode of Cops, filmed on location.
